Product Description
Digital Signal Level 3 (DS3) is a business internet service for customers who need to transport large amounts of information between locations and who have the flexibility to configure communications services to meet specific needs to economically optimize networks, such as aggregation of lower speed services, e.g., Digital Signal Level 1 (DS1) (1.544Mbps), onto a high speed digital backbone.
GigE Port Service is for Wholesale Customers contracting for Committed Information Rate and Committed Burst Rate IP Transit Services.
Pricing
Recurring charges are comprised of the following rate elements:
- Central Office Connecting Channel
- Channel Termination
- Optional Features and Functions
- Transport Channel
Nonrecurring charges are comprised of the following rate elements:
- Central Office Connecting Channel
- Channel Termination
- Optional Features
- Transport Channel (when installed with out channel termination)
Installation
Hoyt Corp. will co-ordinate installation with the data center or co-location facility. Installation time varies by facility.
Configuration
For Local Loops - The local LEC will provide all cabling and connections. Hoyt Corp. will program your router if requested.
For GigE Handoff - The data center will provide Cat5 or fiber cross-connects. For clients committing to 100 mbps or less, Cat5 connections will be used. Hoyt Corp. will program your router or switch if requested.
Security
Hoyt Corp. will provide basic router access lists upon request. Your network will be connected to the Internet and your company should have a firewall. If your company is transmitting sensitive data (such as financial or health records) then you should encrypt the data before sending the data over the Internet.

Monitoring
Hoyt Corp. does provide monitoring of IP transit connections. Monitoring is provided from two different 'off-net' locations.
Terms and Conditions
There is a minimum 1 year term for IP transit. Automated deductions, direct payment deposit, or automated ACH / wire transfers are required.
